- - Copal Electronics wurde 1967 gegründet und ist ein Tochterunternehmen der Nidec Corporation. Das Unternehmen ist ein globaler Zulieferer für die Märkte Telekommunikation, Computer, Industrie, Medizin und Halbleiter. Zu den Produkten, die für diese Märkte entwickelt und hergestellt werden, gehören Trimmer und Präzisionspotentiometer, Schalter, optische Encoder und DC-Lüfter. Copal hat auch seine Aktivitäten in der Entwicklung neuer Produkte auf Bereiche wie Silizium-Drucksensoren, Polygon-Laserscanner, DC-Turbolüfter und thermische variable Dämpfungsglieder ausgeweitet.
Im Rahmen der Copal-Strategie, den Markt mit einem der größten Portfolios industrieller Schalterprodukte aus einer Hand zu beliefern, schloss Copal Electronics Ende 2007 die Akquisition der Fujisoku Corporation ab. Diese Übernahme umfasste Schaltknöpfe, Kipphebel, Hebel, Drucktasten und Trigger schaltet auf eine umfangreiche Palette von Board-Level-Switch-Produkten, die bereits von Copal hergestellt werden. Die Switch-Produktentwicklung ist ein Schwerpunkt der kombinierten Produktgruppe, um die Marktanforderungen für Standard- und kundenspezifische Switching-Lösungen zu erfüllen.
Copal Electronics unterhält globale Kundendienstfunktionen über regionale Produkt- und Kundendienstbüros in Deutschland, China, Japan, Singapur, Korea und den USA. Mehrere Produktionsstätten befinden sich in Japan, China und Vietnam.
